La boda de Carlos + Laura fue una boda al aire libre en el Pirineo. Laura es de Atlanta, EEUU, y Carlos es de Zaragoza aunque lleva ya muchos años viviendo en EEUU. Así que muchos de los invitados habían volado a España para darse cita en un pequeño pueblo de Huesca llamado Albella. Cuando hablamos por skype y me contaron todo lo que estaban liando desde allí para casarse aquí, yo simplemente aluciné, porque ya es costoso organizar una boda en tu propia ciudad como para hacerlo desde otro país y además en mitad de las montañas. Todo hay que decirlo, y es que Carlos es un enamorado del Pirineo, así que ya eramos dos, y le encanta la fotografía, así que ya eramos dos, y además lo que buscaban era reflejar con la mayor naturalidad y libertad creativa su boda, así que ya eramos dos, bueno evidentemente tres con Laura, y como no, todos sus seres queridos, y mención a parte tiene Gerardo Katsenian quien me ayudo como segundo fotógrafo de boda en un trabajo soberbio. Fue una boda sencilla, bonita, artesanal. Tanto Laura como Carlos tienen un gusto musical exquisito, The National, Arcade Fire y eso se nota en cada detalle, en cada nota. No quería que terminara la verdad, había siempre algo interesante que fotografiar, cuando era de día las montañas lucían enormes y majestuosas, cuando empezó a hacerse de noche aprovechamos para respirar junto a los protagonistas y fotografiamos sus miradas, sus gestos, sus detalles, sus acordes, y cuando se hizo de noche, la magia, y al marcharnos por aquellos caminos iluminados con la luces cortas de mi coche, notaba como había estado disfrutando de mi trabajo, y cómo había podido hacer feliz a dos personas dando lo mejor de mi mismo para que sus recuerdos fueran los mejores posibles. Me siento muy muy afortunado de haber podido asistir a una boda así como fotógrafo de bodas, donde lo importante fue lo importante, donde todo había sido hecho con especial cariño y todo se disfrutó con una total honestidad, donde cada gesto era cercano y cada momento único. ++ Carlos and Laura’s wedding was held outdoors in the breathtaking Pyrenees Mountains. Laura is from Atlanta and Carlos is from Zaragoza, though he’s been living in the US for many years. Therefore many guests flew to Spain and gathered in a small town called Albella in the northeastern province of Huesca. When we had our first Skype chat and they told me about everything they were arranging and all the preparations to get married here in Spain, I just couldn’t belive it. I guess it must be tricky to organize a wedding in your own town , but doing it in the middle of the mountains and from another country, that´s a whole new level. Truth be told, Carlos is as in love with the Pyrenees as I am. And he happens to like photography, what makes two of us! They sought to reflect their wedding and their loved ones with the utmost spontaneity and creative freedom. And I loved that. Special mention deserves my assistant on that day, Gerardo Katsenian, who helped me with a magnificent work. It was a simple but special, memorable and artisanal wedding. Both Laura and Carlos have an exquisite musical taste, The National, Arcade Fire, and you can tell from every detail, from every note. The truth is I didn´t want the wedding to finish, there was always something interesting to photograph. During the day time the mountains looked enormous and majestic. When it started to go dark we took advantage of the light to portray the two protagonists , their glances, they gestures, their expressions, their harmony. And when the night came, and the magic with it, while we were leaving the place and the total darkness was lit up by the headlights of my car, I realized how much I had enjoyed it and how my work and dedication helps other people to be happy and fulfill their dreams. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to be their photographer for this extraordinary occasion, where everything was made with a mindful and special care, where everything was enjoyed with a . complete honesty and where each gesture was close and every moment unique.
